True Detective

It's been a while I have seen the serie already but it sticks to me. Matthew Mcconaughey is simply amazing, stunning in his darkness. The writing is delicious and even though the ending may disappoint the serie is simply the best thing I have seen on TV for a while (well season 2 Sherlock I guess). It has everything that makes a good HBO serie (attention to detail is key) but it also takes you on a journey accross the southern states. One serie you can't miss.

Loudon Wainwright III - Carrickfergus

Because Boardwalk Empire is an amazing show and this song is gripping. "But the sea is wide and I can't swim over neither have I wings to fly"

BBC's Sherlock

It's smart, it's humorous, it's entertaining and that first episodus of season 2 is just...well.

Upcoming: Game of Thrones HBO serie

I don't talk much about "A Song of Ice and Fire" George RR Martin's book over here even though I mention him often. It's the best fantasy books I have ever read and better...it changes your view of fantasy.
And the best of it the TV series we have been waiting for years is finally coming to screen on April 17th. Here is one of the many teasers you can find on http://www.makinggameofthrones.com/

Enjoy

Hero Corp - Saison 2

"Pinage!"

Big Bang Theory - The triumph of Jim Parsons

20 minutes sitcom episodes, recorded laughs. Everything I usually hate. And though...

I don't remember laughing as much with a serie. Simply put, I never did. Every single episodes had me bursting out laughing or at least seriously grinning. The actors are playing well and Jim Parsons is simply wonderful. He manages to look uptight without looking gay, to look asocial and yet totally cheering, to look playful and terribly serious. He caries the show on his shoulders even though other actors are good too (special mention to Simon Helberg too)

Season 1 allows you to discover the characters and if there is no real surprise to be had it's just about fun really. What is good is that most of what they talk about is real and serious but put in a way that makes things look funny. Lots of sarcasms, taunts, hints, absurd humor.
Season 2 is even better even though it calms down at the end. Haven't really seen enough of Season 3 to have an opinion yet.

So what to say? Watch it really. If you ever had a geek side in you.
